Almerin Gillett papers, 1862-1870.

Papers of Major Almerin Gillett while captain of Company D, 20th Regiment Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry, including diaries, official company reports, and records of cases which he tried as judge advocate. With these are medical examination records kept by Dr. Chandler B. Chapman, surgeon of the above regiment, and a letterbook kept at the headquarters of the chief engineer of the eastern sub-district of Texas, Confederate States of America, 1862-1864.
